Hot Dog Wrapped in Ground Beef and Bacon
I baked these bacon wrapped hot dogs in the oven, but you could also grill them. Add awesome flavor to your dog! Just add your toppings!!

Ok…my bacon lovers. Here's another bacon recipe. I'm not sure what's gotten in to me lately, but I've been on a bacon binge. Maybe my body needs it since I'm craving it so much. Yeah. We're gonna go with that.

According to popular opinion, it's baked in the oven. Just bake at 400° for about 18-21 minutes. In my opinion, hot dogs are best grilled. It's my go to food request for birthdays, Mother's day, any day I can get what I want for dinner.

There are secrets to microwaving healthy hot dogs. Go check WebMDs article on Secrets to microwaving a healthy hot dog. I'm not a big microwaver <word?>, other than reheating. But I do sometimes cook a hot dog in the microwave if I'm the only one eating them.
What goes good on hot dogs?
With these bacon wrapped hot dogs, I only used shredded cheese and onions so I didn't overpower the bacon taste. But I believe the possibilities of toppings for hot dogs are endless. Here are a few suggestions…
- Mustard, Mayonaisse or Ketchup for starters
- Shredded Cheese
- Pickle Relish
- Onions (fresh or caramelized)
- Tomatoes
- Peppers
- Onion Rings
- French Fried Onions

Bacon Wrapped Hot Dog SUMMERTIME EATS
Bacon wrapped hot dog, baked in the oven. Top it off with some cheese and onions, or see some other suggestions in the post.

9 x 13 Baking Sheet
- 4 Hot Dogs
- 4 Slices Bacon

Preheat oven to 400°.

Wrap one slice of bacon around each hot dog. Bake in preheated oven for 20-24 minutes total, turning half way through.
Serve in bun with desired toppings.
